What's This Feeling? [06 Feb 2009|08:53pm]
[ mood | contemplative ]

So, I can't really tell how I feel about all of this. I'm less upset about this than I was with the whole "facing the consequences" status update situation. Like I seriously cried over that whole thing and still liked him even if it was what I was afraid of. I'm not heartbroken or pissed and I'm not like numb or anything. I know my feelings for him haven't changed, but then shouldn't I be upset about this? Right now, I'm still at the point where if all he was ever going to want was to be friends, I could accept that and be happy with it, but at the same time if he wanted more I would be more than happy with that. I'm like in this middle ground of caring for him as a friend, but there being definite potential for something more. I don't know if I'm just really confident in Zach's ability to break a couple up or if it's my past experience with the whole frosh/soph-senior thing or it's because I think Flapjack & I could really work together, but I kind of have this feeling that things between him and this other girl won't work out or last long, but this feelings mixed in with apprehension that they will.

Then Josh gets thrown into the mix and that's becoming another gray area. I can't tell if I'm starting to like Josh as more than friends or if my feelings for Flapjack are just spilling over onto him because he's always around and there's always a flirty edge to everything when I'm with those two. Josh is becoming more and more flirty and is seeking me out more and more to talk to, but I don't know if he's just becoming more comfortable around me as a friend or has he started to like me? Sometimes it's hard to tell if he's just being friendly or if he's trying to find an opening to get between me and Flapjack, so he can have a chance. Also, sometime it seems like the two of them are just playing around and sometimes it seems like a real one up man-ship contest between them. Like being close and flirty with Flapjack is very easy and comfortable, and we're getting to know more about each other everyday. With Josh it's like we talk more, even about things like Flapjack and me, but we're not as physically close. So I don't know if all three of us are just friends or if one or both of them like me as more.

If U Seek Amy [02 Feb 2009|05:26pm]
[ mood | good ]

I heard there was a controversy regarding this song, but I hadn't listened to it till Lauren played it today in Tech class. It's quite addictive and highly suggestive . . . I think I might love it. At first it sounds like a normal song about trying to find a chick named Amy cause you're at a club and want to hang out. In reality it's about wanting to get your freak on and how that's all you can think about. It also makes the narrator seems a bit cocky since the chorus says "Love me, hate me. Say what you want about me, but all of the boys and all of the girls are begging to if you seek Amy". The other pretty raunchy verse is "Oh baby baby, if you seek Amy tonight, oh baby baby we'll do whatever you'll like".

It's clever, raunchy and really gets stuck in your head . . . i think I need to add it to my iPod LOL . . . seriously.

Ecclectic Music Tastes [08 Oct 2008|07:34pm]
[ mood | excited ]

Wow, I haven't been on here in ages. I shouldn't do that as much.

So, I've decided I love covers of famous songs when performed by string quartets. There are some awesome Paramore covers out there and some of Muse & Evanescence. Plus, I've discovered Apocalyptica, which is four kind of hot guys playing Metallica songs on cellos, which is pretty freakin' awesome.

I've also decided I like club/dance/techno mixes (whatever you want to call them) of popular songs. They're a lot of fun to dance too. Plus, there are mashes, which is basically when two songs you love have a baby that is made of awesome.

Yeah, so I like hip-hop songs done as rock songs, metal songs done as classical songs, and rock songs done as jazz songs. Is that weird? And sorry if everyone else has already discovered all of this for themselves, but it's new to me and I think it's pretty sweet.

In a fight who would win, Luck or Karma? [25 Nov 2007|02:21am]
So I was walking over to the library after school a couple of Fridays ago (it was on the 16th) and what do I happen to stumble across in the alley between the Pit and the old building? A twenty! So at this point I'm thinking: "Wow, this must be my lucky day" then I see two more twenties followed by a huge wad of bills and my thoughts shift to: "Damn it!" Why you might ask? Because finding $20.00 is luck, finding $145.00 is theft. Yes, you aren't experiencing sudden eye problems, I found $145.00 dollars in cash outside of school. Well, technically I found $105.00 and this other girl found $40.00, because once the money was discovered it turned into an all out free for all and it was every woman for herself. One girl behind me may or may not have grabbed a bunch of cash, but I can't be certain one way or the other because the next thing out of her mouth was: "I don't care what you all do, but I've got to catch the bus" and then she was gone. But the other girls handed me the $40.00 and entrusted me to turn it in . . . which I did.

Twilight Cast List [08 Oct 2007|07:54pm]
[ mood | accomplished ]

So Jez and I have finally finished our Twilight cast list, at least for the time being anyway. We'll have to go back and add the people from Jasper's past, but we've got pretty much everybody else.

Random Boredness [16 Jul 2007|05:39pm]
So, I spent all day Sunday in a Jeep driving to Arkansas with like 375 bikers. It was to raise money for D.A.R.E. so my mom and I drove down there with her friend Brandi, who has a 2007 Jeep with 35" tires and a 2 1/2" inch lift on it. The bikers were all really nice and there were some really cool looking Harley Davidson bikes down there. We had a couple Greene County Sherrif's deputies on motorcycles at the front of the group and then a couple more in a car at the back of the group. The Highway Patrol and the Sherrif's department had all the on/exit ramps blocked off, so we had a straight shot down 65 to Arkansas, and people would gather on the overpasses to wave at us.

After we got to the Hub in Arkansas and had lunch with the bikers, some of Brandi's friends wanted to go driving around and off roading in the Jeeps, and wanted us to come. It started off as Brandi's friend in his Jeep, us in Brandi's Jeep, another friend of a friend in their Jeep, and Dave Hines from US 97 in his Jeep. When we stopped for gas, 2 more Jeeps joined us and then when we stopped at our first point of interest 3 more Jeeps joined in, so out of the 12 Jeeps that drove down there, 9 of them ended up going on this separate little adventure. We ended up goign to Mt. Judea, which is the tallest mountain in the Ozarks and stands about 12,000 feet above sea level. It's tall enough that on Scenic Point, you can see Missouri 40 miles to the north.

It was fun, but I ended up getting a sunburn.

Waiting for Skinny [05 Jan 2007|06:19pm]
[ mood | Waiting ]

I'm sitting here waiting for Casye and Kelley to come get me so we can go to the Skinny Improv. Casye said they'd be here some time around or after 6:30pm. I don't have enough time to do anything other than watch TV or be on the computer, so I'm switching between the two.

I went to St. Louis with Jody over the weekend to see Spamalot. It was a great show and we had a really good time. We had dinner at Red Moon on Saturday and the lo mein was really good. On Sunday we went to this really awesome place called City Museum, which is basically one giant recycling project. All the architecture inside the building is taken from other buildings that were torn down. The building is 10 or 11 stories and used to be the International Shoe Co. The bottom 3 floors are the museum and the 4th floor is a store. There are these caves that take up 5 floors on there own and Jody and I spent hours down in them. There's also these old shoe shafts that used to be used to transport shoes from the upper floors of the building down to the lower floors of the building and they go all the way up from the ground floor to the top floor. You can access the bottom 5 stories of the shoe shafts and slide down them, which was fun. One our way home Sunday night we stopepd and had dinner at City Dinner and while we were eating somebody broke the back right window of Jody's parents' car and stole my purse. Just my purse . . . nothing else. It sucks. They stole my inhaler as well and I started having a mild asthma attack when I saw that they'd taken my purse. Who steals an inhaler? I mean honestly, it's not as if Albuterol has a high street value, it isn't even addictive! I suppose they were just in a rush and took everything.

Everything got sorted out with the Cappies mess. Thank God that's over and done with. The Wiz is finally over too. Again, thank God it's done. Now I get to spend the enxt several months working on Black Elk Speaks, which I'm hoping will turn out well.

I finally worked out a way to go to Cappies training and get home and then Cappies training got canceled. Damn and blast! It's been rescheduled for next Saturday, but I've got the MSU Homecoming parade to do, followed by a bonfire/corn maze thing for the Kilties. I have to go to the parade no matter what, and I might be able to make it to Cappies training, but I'd be a little late and I'd probably have to elave before the full four hours were up because I'd have to go to the Kiltie thing at 3pm or something. Plus, Dizzle's Halloween party is that night and I don't know if I'll be able to make it to that or not.

I have a football game on Friday, but no parade on Saturday. Yay! Cappies training however, is supposed to be Saturday afternoon. My mom and I are supposed have lunch with one of my mom friends at the same time as when Cappies training is. My mom got mad and said she'd just go to lunch without me because I told her I'd rather go to Cappies training then lunch with her friend. There is supposed to be another training session for Cappies, but I don't know when it is and I don't know if I'm going to have a parade that day or not. Also, Springfield isn't even up on the list of cities participating in Cappies this year, which probably means that they haven't sent in their application for this year yet. Last year, we had two critics who saw the shows and wrote reviews without ever going to training. This will be my second year in Cappies, so I already know almost everything they're going to say at this stupid four hour training session.

If I don't go to this training session and I have a parade the same day as the next one, my mom won't let me skip the parade for Cappies training, which will mean I won't get to be a Cappie this year, which would suck. Lunch with my mom's friend and a parade are both one time things, where as not going to Cappies training prevents me from doing a year long activity. My mom said I could go to training if I found a ride home because she doesn't want to drive back to Springfield from Rebulic (where she's having lunch with her friend), but she was still mad about it.

Potc Knows No Bounds [02 Aug 2006|07:53pm]
I was at Target today and guess what I saw. A Pirates of the Caribbean shirt . . . for your dog! I of course bought one and Sully is currently wearing it. It's blue and has a flowers and a sparrow on it. It also has two eharts with a dagger going through them and a winding parchment that says "A pirates life for me". How awesome is that? Even my dog has Potc swag.
